Job Description

Provide infrastructure and application support for Mediasite hosting activities.


  • Daily monitoring of the Mediasite platform and related applications and systems
  • Document and analyze reported problems and engage the appropriate resources for further problem determination and resolution
  • Manages issues and coordination of communications related to found and reported issues
  • Manages coordination and engagement of appropriate resources for issue resolution
  • Maintains system documentation
  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned
  • Provide application performance feedback for ongoing improvements
  • Maintain SLA, System Availability, Capacity management, and Performance KPI
  • Collaborate with Management, IT, QA, Software Engineering, Hardware Engineering and technical teams to ensure proper integration and support of the Mediasite environment and related systems
  • Work closely with application development teams and vendors to tune and troubleshoot applications and hardware
  • Plan and coordinate testing changes, upgrades, and new services, ensuring systems will operate correctly in current and future environments
  • Participate in after hours on call rotation
  • Install, configure, manager & troubleshoot and optimize Windows Roles & Services to include the following:
    • Media Services
    • IIS
    • Lightweight directory services/ADAM
    • Director of federated services
    • SFTP
    • DNS
  • Manager, maintain & optimize Mediasite databases
  • Configure and manage network management system metrics for hosting servers and services


Experience & Qualifications

  • Strong familiarization with Internet and Network Technologies
  • Firm understanding of TCP/IP Suite of Protocols
  • Understanding of Firewall functions and general implementations
  • Understanding of Network and Application Load Balancing functions and features
  • Strong understanding of Name Resolution (DNS)
  • Firm knowledge and demonstrated troubleshooting skills related to connectivity issues due to firewall, load balancer, proxy servers, and other network related technologies
  • Experience with monitoring tools is a plus
  • Excellent problem solving/analytical skills and knowledge of various analytical tools
  • Requires fundamental knowledge of Windows 2012/2016 Server
  • Work experience in implementing, administering, and maintaining current Windows server products including Microsoft SQL, IIS, Windows Clustering, Network Load Balance
  • Ability to apply deductive reasoning skills to isolate root cause of issues that may be related to hardware, network and/or applications
  • Experience with EU compliance and EU process methodologies a plus
  • Strong customer service and problem-solving skills necessary
  • Excellent verbal, written communication and negotiation skills 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related technical field required
